Open seas, open minds!
The first leg of Science Sets Sail is in open sea sailing into the Northern Baltic! The Thor Heyerdahl is currently travelling at 5.3 nautical miles, a short distance from the island off Kalmar in Sweden, on its way to Riga in Latvia.
The minds of the participating researchers are equally open! Everyone has settled in, recovered from sea sickness, and got to know each other – what a perfect time to meet in small groups in the dining room or on deck to discuss research projects and opportunities for exchange and collaboration!
