Up you all go!
Upon arrival at Ronne on August 9th, the scientists of watch number 2 (those starting work at 4 am) came up with a special challenge for the Thor Heyerdahl crew members. They bet that the crew – captain included – could not all climb the rigging at once, wearing blue boxer shorts and Thor Heyerdahl T-Shirts. The sailors didn’t hesitate for a second and accepted. Right before dinner, they all showed up dressed according to the agreed terms – and up they climbed! Spirits were high and the atmosphere was fabulous. Especially when the defeated party delivered the bet right away at the pier – drinks for everybody, as the crew we able to enjoy their night off!
